Tomorrow.

So Tired

SO TIRED

I am so tired of living with
Pain of body, pain of soul,
Pain of mind, and most of all
Pain of my non-physical heart.

Fewer

FEWER

There have been many women
In my life.
A few have tickled my fantasies.
Fewer have tickled my heart.
Even fewer have been in my
Heart.
If the volume of poems I write
Is the measure of my emotional
Attachment,
Then this one is the most important
One in the last twenty years.
Strange that they have the same
Birth sign and that their
Birthdays are but four days apart.
Not counting the twenty two years
Between actual birth.
I swore that I would never love
Another Capricorn,
So much for that sworn oath.

Damn The Parents

DAMN THE PARENTS

Damn the Mother who drives out
The daughter She say’s She loves.
For she has driven the woman I
Love straight into anothers arms.
My love would probably have
Gone anyway, but now what
Chance have I to win her heart.
Damn the Father who says keep
Your distance for He is afraid of
Losing his friend.
Well my friend you wouldn’t have
Lost my friendship either way.
But you have lost my respect.
I now just go through the motions
Of friendship, for my heart no
Longer has any good feelings
Toward the Parents of my beloved
Lost one.
I feel that it is mostly due to their
Interference that we did not have
The chance we needed to get started.
It is sad to say that I will always
Hold that against them.

I have held my tears in check
Several times this day.
This day of your leaving.
It has not been easy to stay
Dried eyed.
I am not even sure why I have.
Other than the time I have
Spent with you today has
Been spent with your family,
And my tears are not for
Them to see.
