Both seem some how empty.
One brings a deep satisfaction
Of fulfillment while not
Giving the day today joy of a

Which is more important?
Logic says that the deep
Satisfaction dosen’t want me
So drop it.
Logic says the life enchancer
Does want me and will keep
Life very good.
Logic says I will not be
Happy with either in the long
Run of time yet to come.
Yet I will not be happy alone
Either.
Is there one who can be both
For me,
Or is the problem only in my

Do you do as I?
Awake late at night
Wondering?
It feels wrong somehow.

Paint Smears

PAINT SMEARS

Strange are the workings
Of the mind and its
Associations of things.
I look at the paint smeared
On my VCR and think;
A_____ and his sloppy work.
Now I will think of him
Each time I see the smear.
He smeared the VCR at M’s
Place while I lived there.
He is now her lover,
Or at least he was the last
Time I heard from her
About it.
So I see the paint.
Paint equals A____,
A____ equals M___,
M___ equals my hurt,
Sorrow and loss.

I said it meant a lot to me.

Later tonight would be okay.
I called five times.
Finally got you at 10:59 PM.
All you could say was
“It’s late”.

Even friendship no longer

What good are words when
People wont talk?
Pages and pages of words,
Thoughts,
Ideas and questions I have
Written to you.
All to no end.
For no word has returned.
If you value me so lightly,
Then you could not have
Valued yourself much
When we were together.
For I have not changed.
Honest communication is
Still the most important
Part of any relationship.
Without it,
There is nothing.
And nothing it seems
