Credit Card Revolution

Ok folks, it is time we as a nation and all others in the world also, start a Credit Card Revolution against the banks and all places that provide Credit Cards. We need to stop using them all until the Credit Cards issuers lower the APR to less than 5%. All of the Credit Card Companies have screwed us by rasing the APR so much in the recent past, that it is time we screwed them back. I for one have almost stopped using any of my cards, unless I can pay back the amount charged on the next bill. I have even closed a few of my accounts because the APR is now to high and told the card company why I was closing the account.  If the Credit Card Companies start losing some real money because what they have done to us as users of the cards, they just might start to really care about what they are doing.

So I ask you all to stop using your Credit Cards and to tell your friends and neighbors to stop using theirs and pass the word around the World about the Credit Card Revolution I am trying to start here. Just maybe we can change the way the Banks and Credit Card Companies are doing business these days. It is plain to see that our Governments are doing anything to take care of us on this issue, so it is up to us, the people of the world to make a change. We can do it, there are so many of us that the Banks and Credit Card Companies must respond if we all stop making money for them.

So be part of the solution and not part of the problem, and be sure to pass the word to all.

Pop singers today

Maybe it is just that I am getting older and don’t hear as well as I used to, but how can anyone hear what is being sung by the singers today when the music is louder than the song being sung? Or is it  that the singers today are not as good as the ones used to be and want their voice drowned out so no one knows just how bad they are singing really is? And what happened to the words being able to be understood when they were sung? Don’t remember slurring words being part of singing. Hate to say it but it is also becoming true of country music as well these days. If I want to hear music that is what I listen to, if I want a song, I want to hear and understand it.

Tiger Woods

Ok who really cares just how many women Tiger is getting? What does it have to do with how good a golfer he is? His golf is important, his love life is not. Get your noses out of his business. Ha isn’t doing anything that hasn’t been done by damn near every one any how.

Banks and Surveys

Why is it that the banks today are trying to screw the people who make the happen? I tried to refinance my single wide mobile home this year and was about to get it closed when all of a sudden the bank decided that they were not going to finance single wides any more. Why I wonder did they do this? They wont make any money out of it? This I doubt as there are so many of us who own single wides and what will happen when it comes time to sell them? What will banks do when the people get tired of paying the higher interest rates they have forced us to pay now and we all quit using our credit cards? The more the banks screw us the less people will use them and the more money they will lose. This is true for credit card companies and yet they are doing this to us. Does no one have any idea of what their future is going to be like when the people revolt against them and say no more to the banks and credit card companies? What is being taught in our business schools that let our country get into the mess it is in these days? When did we as a country not care about our country and only about the money we can steal from the people in it? How can you make more money after you have taken everyone’s money? How can you make money when no one has a job here to buy anything after sending all the jobs to some other country? When did making money for oneself become more important than what happens to other people? When did humanity die in this country? Not sure, but unless you seem to have a lot of money these days, you might not be considered even part of this country anymore. I even notice that in taking surveys, that I don’t get to take a lot of them when I put in my yearly income, guess my opinion is not worth knowing because I don’t make enough money to count anymore. So the only opinions that are going to count in this new world are those of who have money and they are the ones who are making the surveys. Now they can get the opinions to go the way they want, so they say what they want. Just like the banks are doing with the people the will do business with, you got money, welcome, not enough, goodbye sucker! Wake up you big money makers, the little people are the geese that lays them golden eggs, kill us and you lose your income, kill us and then what will you do?

Credit cards

Well I just closed out a department store credit card a few moments ago and will close another one  very soon. When asked why I wanted to close my account I said because you want 23.99% interest on what I owe you. I cannot understand why all of these credit card places are increasing the interest rates, it just makes me not want to use them and so the companies will be losing any money they might have made from me now. I have stopped using several of my other credit cards for the same reason. I am sure a lot of you are doing the same as I am. Seems to me if the credit card companies want to make money they should lower their rates so people would want to use them. But the rich just want to get richer and don’t care about the common people it seems. What are they going to do when the little people have no more money to give them? Start on each other? One day there will just one person with all of the money in the world, I wonder just what good it will that person?

High beams

Have always wondered just which idiot put the high beams switch on the steering column. I spent many years driving on narrow mountain roads wishing I still had the old foot button on the floor so I wouldn’t have remove my left hand from the steering wheel. Who thought this idea was a safer way to drive? They told us in high school driving class to keep our hands at 10 and 2 o’clock, guess the designers of the column high beam switch didn’t go to school when I did back in the 60s. I would think that the insurance companies would have forced the auto makers to return to the foot switch for safety reasons, wonder why they haven’t?

Cash for clunkers

Seems like an other way to get more people deeper into debt to me. Sure I would like to get  more money for my clunker than it is worth, but I do not need the debt of a new car nor the cost of insuring and newer car not the cost when it comes time to register it each year or so. So what is the real point of doing this clunker idea? One will spend much more than one saves on the gasoline being used by these older cars.

Got all of 8 views on my post about Salmon fishing and gold dredging. Not one comment. Does no one care about freedom any more? Or is it a freedom that none of you who are in here care about? Too busy posting and bloging to worry about what goes on outside your own little world I guess. True there are not many people who still hunt for gold in this country, but it sure would be a shame to lose one of the freedoms that made this country happen. Don’t know if the governor of Calif. will read the message I sent him, but I did as I said I would do, I also sent one to that county that I would said I would do. If you need to know what I am posting about, look at the post before this one.

Dredging and Salmon

Well Well, Looking here people. The Governor of Calif. has stopped dredging in Calif to help protect the Salmon fish. But there is an add I saw today where Del Norte County is allowing Salmon fishing off it coast line. They even want you to go to www.exploredelnorte.com and see what they have to offer. How is it that, that county in Calif. can allow the fishing of Salmon when everyone is worried about what a little dredging might do. Seems to me if people can catch the damn fish and kill them for eating, they are not in too much danger. So what is the real reason dredging has been stopped? It can’t be for the fishes sake can it? Please, anyone who reads this, send a message to the Governor of Calif. and tell him how screwed up this is. Also send a message to Del Norte County and tell them you don’t think it is fair to the gold dredgers to allow Salmon fishing. For every one caught, there is one less to reproduce the species. Can’t get more fish to spawn if they are being caught and not allowed to go up the rivers. I am sending my messages today just as soon as I finish this post.

Money

Money, a man made concept. Worth given to something that is not even real. Once upon a time at least it was made of gold and silver, some stuff that is somewhat rare, but still made into a round flat shape and given a value. Barter was once a real trade value, a fair trade of value for value. But today money is hardly even seen, it all goes through computers as numbers and isn’t even touched by human hands. As a very young man I wish I had had a card I could use instead of having to carry cash around with me all of the time, well I got my wish in the ATM card I carry today, I am not sure I like it, but it sure is handy to have. I just need to be sure that I have that imaginary money in the bank to cover what I spend. And to not lose the receipts so I can keep track of what I have spent. I wonder with the computer age if the idea of money has become so unreal that is the reason the big banking corporations have made a mess of the world? It is not like the money is held in their own hands and they can count it like Scrooge McDuck. Money like so many things in this world are just man made ideas, things we have made important to keep us going. Once the real value was being able to hunt and grow food and make shelter for our families. If one had these things, you were as rich as you needed to be. I wonder where the idea of having to have more stuff than someone else became so important and why is it important? It doesn’t make you a better person, more often than not it makes you a worse one. So what is the point of having money? Sure you can buy what you need, but so many buy what they don’t really need. And those with the money just keep trying to get us to buy what ever it is we don’t need just so they can have more money. Maybe we need to go back on the gold standard and have a set value of what our money is worth instead of an imaginary value that changes everyday. So one can know what they are really worth instead of being rich one day and poor the next.

I think about what I used to spend on things as a child and as a young man and am amazed by how much they cost today. If the money were stable as it used to be, maybe the cost of things would not so high today. I think the price my mother paid for a house we lived in when I was about 5 years old was around $5,000, now that house is most likely worth near a million, just because of where it is. It is the same house, on the same street as it was then and a lot older now, so why is it worth so much now? With all of the for sale sign I see around, houses are not worth very much these days. And if no one can afford to buy one, it isn’t worth anything if no one can live in it. Its value is in being lived in and used, not what some people have decided it is worth.

Speaking of being used and worth while, it sure would nice if all of the closed military bases were turned in homeless shelters. All of that living space just sitting around doing nothing. Think of the jobs that could opened up having cooks in the mess halls cooking for the people. Grounds keepers to keep the bases looking good. The shops could be opened up and used again to make whatever is needed for the base and the towns they are in. Well it seems like a good idea to me.

Thinking of jobs, I have wondered why in California they do not do as Oregon does and have people who pump gasoline at the stations? How many jobs would be opened up if there a least two people working at each gas station? Thousands of people could be employed who are not right now. Thousands of people who could paying taxes into that state, which is broke right now. Seems like a simple idea, hope some one brings it up in that state.
