Credit Card Revolution

Ok folks, it is time we as a nation and all others in the world also, start a Credit Card Revolution against the banks and all places that provide Credit Cards. We need to stop using them all until the Credit Cards issuers lower the APR to less than 5%. All of the Credit Card Companies have screwed us by rasing the APR so much in the recent past, that it is time we screwed them back. I for one have almost stopped using any of my cards, unless I can pay back the amount charged on the next bill. I have even closed a few of my accounts because the APR is now to high and told the card company why I was closing the account.  If the Credit Card Companies start losing some real money because what they have done to us as users of the cards, they just might start to really care about what they are doing.

So I ask you all to stop using your Credit Cards and to tell your friends and neighbors to stop using theirs and pass the word around the World about the Credit Card Revolution I am trying to start here. Just maybe we can change the way the Banks and Credit Card Companies are doing business these days. It is plain to see that our Governments are doing anything to take care of us on this issue, so it is up to us, the people of the world to make a change. We can do it, there are so many of us that the Banks and Credit Card Companies must respond if we all stop making money for them.

So be part of the solution and not part of the problem, and be sure to pass the word to all.

Ok who really cares just how many women Tiger is getting? What does it have to do with how good a golfer he is? His golf is important, his love life is not. Get your noses out of his business. Ha isn’t doing anything that hasn’t been done by damn near every one any how.

Banks and Surveys

Why is it that the banks today are trying to screw the people who make the happen? I tried to refinance my single wide mobile home this year and was about to get it closed when all of a sudden the bank decided that they were not going to finance single wides any more. Why I wonder did they do this? They wont make any money out of it? This I doubt as there are so many of us who own single wides and what will happen when it comes time to sell them? What will banks do when the people get tired of paying the higher interest rates they have forced us to pay now and we all quit using our credit cards? The more the banks screw us the less people will use them and the more money they will lose. This is true for credit card companies and yet they are doing this to us. Does no one have any idea of what their future is going to be like when the people revolt against them and say no more to the banks and credit card companies? What is being taught in our business schools that let our country get into the mess it is in these days? When did we as a country not care about our country and only about the money we can steal from the people in it? How can you make more money after you have taken everyone’s money? How can you make money when no one has a job here to buy anything after sending all the jobs to some other country? When did making money for oneself become more important than what happens to other people? When did humanity die in this country? Not sure, but unless you seem to have a lot of money these days, you might not be considered even part of this country anymore. I even notice that in taking surveys, that I don’t get to take a lot of them when I put in my yearly income, guess my opinion is not worth knowing because I don’t make enough money to count anymore. So the only opinions that are going to count in this new world are those of who have money and they are the ones who are making the surveys. Now they can get the opinions to go the way they want, so they say what they want. Just like the banks are doing with the people the will do business with, you got money, welcome, not enough, goodbye sucker! Wake up you big money makers, the little people are the geese that lays them golden eggs, kill us and you lose your income, kill us and then what will you do?

Genealogy

Genealogy, what a concept. Trace one ancestors back to the old country. And unless one is an American Indian, all of us go back to another country. So lets here none of the idea of “go back where you came from”! After all if you want to send people back, you would have to do the same. Doesn’t matter if you were born here, your ancestors at some point weren’t. As for my ancestors I have traced them back to before this was the United States of America. all except one who came over from Germany just before the Civil War. They come from Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Germany and all over Europe, they go back to the blue bloods of royalty. I guess I am as white a person as there is to be and haven’t got a prejudice bone in my body. Never understood the idea of prejudice, what is there to be prejudice about? Why are the Asians so prejudice against other Asians? Why are the Africans so prejudice against other Africans? For that matter why do different nations hate other nations? Religious differences I can understand one level, but to kill over those differences I do not understand.

Just what makes the white man so special that they think they are so much better than all other people? I would like to hear from the special ones, give me a reason that makes sense, just one. More if you got them, but one will do for a start.

Patriotism

I have to say I am confused as to what a patriot is these days, hell have been ever since the Vietnam war. I severed in the Navy from 1966 to 1969, got spit on and yelled at by anti-war protester and yet a lot of us were writing things like ban the bomb on the 2,000 pound bombs we were sending to the aircraft carriers, I was on an ammunition ship for my first two years in the Navy. The confusion comes from trying to decide if it was unpatriotic to protest the war or if it was unpatriotic to put down the protesters, after all to protest is an American freedom that goes all the way back to our revolutionary beginnings. Would one say that our founding fathers were unpatriotic, not on your life it might be said, but then they certainly were. for they were not Americans then were they? Benedict Arnold is considered to be one of the worst traitors in this country, but he is and was a patriot to the British. He fought for his country. He just happened to be on the losing side.

So is it if you win or lose that makes you a patriot? I remember the saying “My country right or wrong, my country”, I always hated that saying. Yet the ones saying it thought they were being patriotic and all I could think of was the Germans during WWII who followed what their country was doing to the Jews at the time. That was “My country right or wrong, my country” to its limit. And the people of this country thought it was so wrong for them do have done that and it was those same people who were saying and thinking with the same mentally as those Germans.

The Patriot Act of this country, is it really patriotic? Again it reminds me of Germany before and during WWII, everyone spying on each other and most likely telling lies just to get someone you don’t like in trouble. Land of the Free, well maybe it was once, but its not to free these days. Even as I write this and then post it, some spy guy for the government will note what I have said here and that will make a mark in my FBI file. I am sure we all have one. So am I a patriot for wanting my country to free of the spying or a traitor for not wanting to stop terrorism by the ending of the spying? Just depends on which side of the fence one stands on I guess. I would be willing to bet our founding fathers would not be happy with way this country has been run up to this point. I believe they would start another revolution if they were here now. And the question is, would that be the patriotic thing to do?

Gangs

Just how stupid does one have to be to join a gang? Why in the world would one want to be a part of something that most likely will get you killed? Just how small do you have to feel to need a gang to make you feel like a big shot? And just how big are you really if you are just another member of some gang? Is killing someone the thing that makes you a man? Seems like it is more manly to not join a gang in this day and age. If having guts is what it is all about, it takes guts to say no to peer pressure. It takes guts to tell bullies to go to hell. Black, brown, white, green or orange, I don’t care what color ones skin is, we are all just human beings, no one better than the rest. Being in a gang does not and will not make someone a better person. To me it just shows how small a mind a gang member has. What ever happened to the freedom of choice we are supposed to have in this country, if the neighborhood gang makes you join? I have always found it ironic that the bullies of this world are the ones who have the most insecurities about who they are. I have always hated the saying “if you can’t beat them, join them”, what a sad way to feel. It seems to be the way of the world when it comes to gangs these days. I would like to know what happened to the pride of being an individual, it was one of the things that made this country what it is today, or can I say that anymore? Once I felt I could, but it has been many years since I felt that way. The only individuals who seem to be making a name for themselves these days are crooked politicians. I just hope our new president doesn’t get caught doing some thing wrong, but he is a politician and most of them seem to be crooked and out to get what they can from the American public. Politicians almost are a gang unto themselves it seems.

Borders

Just what is a border? For some it is the imaginary line that separates countries. I say imaginary because there is nothing there to show where one country starts and another one ends. Yet we seem to believe that by being one side or the other of these imaginary lines that we are better than those on the other side of it. Unless you live on and island which does have a real border around it you are living in imaginary countries. Sure the world has agreed on where these imaginary lines are, but at what price were these borders made. And just why would one think by living in of these imaginary countries that they are better than the ones on the other side of the line? I guess it all goes back to people thinking that they alone are the chosen ones of the imaginary god they made up and therefore are the best there is.

Has always seemed strange to me that this concept goes all the way down to the streets we live on. My block is better than your block. The end results being the gangs we have all over the country thinking that their street gang is better than the one one on the next block and being willing to kill to prove it. What little minds humans have. Grown up human-beings acting like little children, when will it all end? I do blame religion for this happening in the world. After all if your god says you are the chosen people you are going to let the other people know that you are better than they are and you alone are right so everything the others do is wrong and bad. And you say this to the others who believe the same thing about themselves, just what is going to happen? Just like children they start to fight to prove who is really the best. Each believing that their god will favor them and of course the winner is always right for might makes right. If I beat you then I must be better, what a thought. Like playing king of the hill, who ever ends up on top is the winner.

Think about America. All men are created equal, right sure they are! It took this country a long time to try and make that statement true and even then it was not put into practice. To this day we still have the problem of men being equal, even with the president we now have in office, all men are not being treated as equals. All men are equal, but what about women? How long did it take for them to get the right to vote and have they ever gotten fair pay for the same work men do? Sure we passed a law to make it so, but law and practice are not the same thing. Even here we have made borders between things. And why you might ask? Well back to that imaginary god again. Yup lets see how that went, god made Adam, so man is first and most important. A note here, in the Holy Bible I happen to have in front of me it does not say that Eve was made from the rib of Adam, though this the story I grew up hearing, makes you wonder just what is the true religion when it changes with each sect making up the story as they want it be. Well going on with the rib story, we have woman be a lesser part of the story, an after thought even. As I remember the story, god saw that Adam was lonely and god decide that Adam needed a mate, gee guess watching all the animals in the world having one, I would want one too. After all what was the point of have a male sex organ if Adam had no one to use it with? Of course woman being less than man, it would have to the female who ate of the so called apple, after all a man wouldn’t do any wrong unless he was tempted by a woman, would he? Here’s a thought for you, god didn’t give us brains to really think with, it was Eve. Eve gave us knowledge, not god. Why would a god not want his children to know things?  What border was god afraid of that humans should know things? Without knowledge, mankind would have been no better than the rest of the animal kingdom.

So the god of our story starts us out with the I am better than you idea. His creations just keep up the idea, causing the first murder to happen, Cain killing Able so Able couldn’t be better than him or more favored. If the old testament is to believed, I am not sure being the chosen of god was a good thing. All the suffering the Jews went through as the chosen people just doesn’t seem to fair to me for a chosen people. So where and when did the idea of being better than others really come into practice? One just has to look at all of the religions starting points, there you will find that each of them sort of all say that their god created them first as the chosen ones. And I do mean all religions, even going back in time to the ones not in use today. Again I ask just why does mankind think they are so special? Why did they think the world was made for them? Why would mankind in this day and age still believe what they do about the gods?

When mankind grows up, borders will no longer be needed. No imaginary lines will be needed to separate us from each other. We need to get rid of the gods, get rid of the borders. One nation under god? What god is that? Whose god is that? Which god should we choose? Can’t have equality until that issue is resolved and the only real solution is no god at all. Can’t fight over what doesn’t exist, can we? When people realize that where they live is not really any better than any other place, we just might stop thinking our place is better and fighting to prove it. But having people who refuse to see the truth of the world will always hold us back from being able to grow up. The thought of me being better than you goes into almost every facet of our lives, rich people are better than poor people, upland people are better than lowland people, tall people are better than short people, jocks are better than (todays term) nerds. Strange that last one is, saying that having brains to think with is not cool, just another way of people wanting to keep from using their brains and think! Why is the world afraid of thinking and growing? Because the children are afraid of pissing off their so called Father of a god! I have to ask, what was the point of giving mankind the big brain to use if it was not meant to be used? Did the gods want to keep people ignorant just so they could on top? Just like so many leaders of this world do. World leaders have always wanted to keep the people ignorant of what is really happening, because when the people find out the truth, the leaders lose their jobs. Just look at your news and you see it happening everyday.

So lets grow up people and put and end to all of these borders we have. Or are you afraid to cross those borders?
